About CSI
Coastal Surgical Institute was created by local physicians who desired surgery center where their patients would receive the type of care they would want for their own families. They hand selected staff, designed a beautiful, comfortable atmosphere and launched what is now regarded as a premier ambulatory surgery center on the Central Coast.
What is an Ambulatory Surgery Center?
By definition, an ambulatory surgery center is a facility where patients receive surgical and diagnostic care without having to stay overnight or be admitted to a hospital. Many procedures that once required hours to perform and a week’s hospitalization are now done safely in a fraction of the time, with less risk, less discomfort and less recovery time. This allows you to return to the comfort of your own home sooner where healing is enhanced by familiar surroundings.
